This is now the bulk of my painting work: small (3″ – 8″) oil paintings of imaginary landscapes. You can find them on Etsy and sometimes at art/craft fairs. They are based on fuzzy memories, travels to places like Nova Scotia and Iceland, pictures I’ve seen of places I’ve never been, locations in movies, and dreams. But mostly, they are invented while I’m painting them. Even though they’re small and simple, they can take me a really long time to finish! Hence, it’s now June, and I still haven’t finished my first batch of 2010-series little paintings. I will update my blog (on the home page) as I finish them.
Some of my favorites are shown below (the large photos), but you can also click any of the 12 randomly-generated thumbnails below to browse a near-complete set of images in my Flickr photostream (I think some of the very first paintings are missing, and possibly some sold at craft fairs, but mostly, what I’ve made is on Flickr).
