My 4:30 AM wake-up song. Like a gentle alarm clock. At 4:30 AM this seemed like the best song ever.
Your friend the spirit-bear has to leave you and go back to the spirit-world. Say goodbye as he sinks under the water and disappears!
Good old MicroKorg and delay pedal.
The geese have a long way to go on their migration-journey. Days and days of flying for hours. But they can make the best of it by singing this song as they fly!
Desperate for something. Not much to say.
I guess it’s a song about a messed up relationship. It’s like I’m a codependent spider-woman and I’m trapping my prey, who I want to love me, but I’m keeping him captive.
Just…made for atmosphere. Improvised and doubletracked.
It’s about a crazy ceremony held before a bunch of people go burn down a neighboring village. I was starting to get totally burned out…this marked the eighth hour of the project and I was getting into a phase of “why should I bother with this crazy project?” So I just wrote words really fast and made this up as I went along.
I was totally burned out here. Vocoder is often a cop-out for me.
I felt pretty awful by this point. Also, I just reused the drums from “Brighter Places.”
I just didn’t want to invest the time in it.
I thought, “try to make a more manly song for a change.” Hmm… Not so great. So I decided to call it quits.
